Among Silos

On the outskirts of Trujillo, the former N-V, near the park of San Lazaro (old watering hole of the Cañada Real),

It is a good place to see Mallard ( Anas platyrhynchos), European Shoveler ( Anas clypeata ) in winter, Common Coot (Fulica atra) or waders like the Little Ringed Plover ( Charadrius dubius ) and Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus). Between the old silo and the new impressive silo is a good place to enjoy during the summer Lesser Kestrels (Falco naumanni) . You can also observe Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) and in the summer various hirundines: Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica), House Martin ( Delichon urbica ) and Red-rumped Swallow ( Hirundo daúrica ) . The open space visible from that point to the north (rear of the new silo) allows us with a bit of luck and patience to see a roosting area for kites, perhaps Booted Eagle (Hieraaetus pennatus ) and it is also not a bad place for observing Bee-eaters ( Merops apiaster ).
